About Consumer-Directed Community Supports (CDCS)

Consumer-Directed Community Supports (CDCS) is a self-directed service that allows participants to hire in-home support staff and purchase goods and services using authorized funding. CDCS gives participants the flexibility and control to decide how to spend their budget, who to employ as caregiving staff, and when to receive care.

CDCS participants choose a Financial Management Services (FMS) provider to support them with employer-related responsibilities, financial tasks, and budget management. Lifeworks is proud to be an approved FMS provider and is ready to partner with you.

Eligibility for CDCS

Consumer-Directed Community Supports requires that a person has a waiver for either Alternative Care (AC), Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), or Developmental Disabilities (DD).
