About Individualized Home Supports (IHS) without Training
Individualized Home Supports (IHS) without Training is a 245D Basic Service. IHS is a one-to-one service that provides support for adults and children who live in their own home or their family’s home. opportunities for people to increase their independence and connect with their community. Support can include assistance with daily living activities such as eating breakfast or brushing teeth to community participation such as transportation skill-building or leisure and recreation planning.
Wages for caregiving staff start at $20.75 per hour, and staff must be 16 years of age or older. Staff are required to complete annual trainings, and are paid $15.00 per hour.
Respite complements this service and provides short-term relief for a person’s primary caregiver. IHS can also be used with Homemaker and Night Supervision.
