About Homemaker

Homemaker is a 245D Basic Service. Homemaker services provide participants with support in managing light housekeeping tasks and laundry services when they or their primary caregiver are unable to manage them. Lifeworks provides basic Homemaker services which includes light household cleaning authorized by the lead agency. Homemaker staff are not required to complete new employee orientation or annual training.

Wages for caregiving staff start at $17.00 per hour, and staff must be 16 years of age or older, must not reside in the home of the participant, or must not share the areas to be cleaned with the participant.

Homemaker can be used with IHS, Respite, and Night Supervision.
