The Latest at Lifeworks – January 2025

Lifeworks Community,

2025 is here, and Lifeworks is ready to create a disability-inclusive world where everyone can thrive. We are taking action to make disability inclusion the standard, not an exception, by launching our centers for disability inclusion.

Disability impacts us all, yet too often, inclusion is an afterthought. People with disabilities continue to face unnecessary barriers when it comes to accessing services, finding employment, and participating fully in their communities. We cannot continue to accept these exclusionary practices, so Lifeworks has set out to shape our collective future by setting a new model for what community-based inclusion looks like.

Our centers for disability inclusion are how we will put inclusion into action. The centers are vibrant spaces where people will gather, learn, work, and thrive without barriers. Each center will offer community-focused day support services, career planning and training, individualized navigation for resources, and disability inclusion education – all under one roof. The centers will be deeply rooted within communities, serving as a beacon for disability inclusion that benefits everyone.

We are starting strong with the opening of our New Hope Center for Disability Inclusion in just a few weeks. Next, we will refresh our Apple Valley location and build a center for disability inclusion in Mankato. Location by location, Lifeworks will bring our vision of disability inclusion to even more communities and people.

Our centers are not just a project – they are a movement. We are building a future where disability inclusion is part of our everyday lives, and we cannot do it without support from our community. Let’s make 2025 the year we redefine what inclusion looks like – together.
