About Respite

Respite is a 245D Basic Service. Respite is short-term care services provided to a participant when their primary caregiver is absent or needs relief. Respite can be provided in-home or out-of-home, and complements IHS without training.

Wages for caregiving staff start at $20.00 per hour, and staff must be 16 years of age or older. Staff are required to complete annual trainings, and are paid $15.00 per hour.

Respite can be used with IHS, Homemaker, and Night Supervision.
