Lifeworks 2020 Voting Assistance
October 27, 2020 @ 7:00 am - November 3, 2020 @ 8:00 pm
Those who are elected into office have the power to make important decisions that impact our lives and our access to resources, making it critical that your voice is heard. As a community-focused nonprofit, Lifeworks believes that it is part of our civic duty to encourage people to make a plan to vote and to offer voting assistance for the people we serve. Early voting for this year’s general election is currently taking place. You can vote early with an absentee ballot at your county election office. If you are not registered, you can do so in person if you show proof of residence. The last day to vote early in Minnesota is: Monday, November 2, 2020.
Planning to vote on November 3, 2020?
In Minnesota, you have the right to register to vote on Election Day. To find out where to cast your ballot, enter your address into the Office of the Secretary of State’s Polling Place Finder. Federal and state laws require that all polling places be accessible and usable by people with disabilities. There are many ways to receive assistance when you vote. You can bring someone to help, ask an election judge, use a machine to help you mark your ballot or even vote from your car.
If you would like voting assistance, let your Lifeworks contact know.
Your vote matters! We want everyone to have the opportunity to exercise their civil liberties. Lifeworks staff are trained to be objective in their work and honor individual choice. We can help you make a plan to vote and provide support, including transportation to and from a person’s polling place.
